Start Sailing Course

Open to sailors (aged 8-14) with little or no previous sailing experience. This class offers instruction in basic skills, enabling a student to feel confident sailing a single-handed dinghy.

The course runs Saturday mornings between 9am and noon. The eight-week course is run both in Spring and Summer. All sailing and safety equipment is supplied, including use of the academy’s PJ, Sabot and RS sailing dinghies

Youth and Adult Learn to Sail

Based on the same curriculum as the Start Sailing course this caters for youths (16+) and adults wishing to learn the basics and for those more experienced, to formalize or learn new skills.

The course runs Saturday afternoons between 12:30pm and 3:30pm. The six-week course is run both in Spring and Summer. All sailing and safety equipment is supplied, including use of the academy’s RS Vision and Feva sailing dinghies

School Holiday Camps

Camps are three days during school holidays and are for children of all sailing abilities – even for those who may never been sailing before. We spend plenty of time on the water as well as fun activities to keep them busy and entertained.

Better Sailing Course

The next step in the Pathways is Better Sailing open to sailors who are comfortable sailing on their own and who are looking to further develop their skills. This course is ideal for sailors who have completed Start Sailing and wish to gain more experience before further progressing to Start Racing courses and club fleet racing.

The course runs Saturday afternoons 1:00-4:00pm. The eight-week course is run both in Spring and Summer. All sailing and safety equipment is supplied,
