At Drummoyne Sailing Club, community is at the heart of everything we do. Through our corporate partnership program, we work closely with local businesses to create mutually beneficial opportunities that drive connection.

In addition to fostering business partnerships, we actively support local sporting groups by providing facilities, sponsorship, and resources to help them thrive. These groups include:

  • Drummoyne Rugby Club

  • Iron Cove Cricket Club

  • Drummoyne Fishing Club

This commitment complements our core values of supporting and promoting sailing at our club. From nurturing the next generation of sailors through our academy to hosting competitive regattas and community sailing events, we are dedicated to the growth and excellence of sailing in our area.

ClubGRANTS

Drummoyne Sailing Club is proud to support the community through the ClubGRANTS program, providing funding to assist local community organisations in creating meaningful impacts. This initiative allows us to help those in need and make a real difference within the City of Canada Bay.

Applications for ClubGRANTS Category 1

The City of Canada Bay 2026 ClubGRANTS Category 1 applications open from February 1st, 2027, to May 31st, 2027. Community groups focusing on areas such as welfare, health services, community development, and employment assistance are encouraged to apply.

Priority will be given to projects that:

  • Increase inclusivity for people with disabilities, older people, youth, and culturally diverse communities.

  • Address social inequities for families, particularly women, children, and young people.

  • Promote active and healthy living through accessible health, fitness, and cultural programs.

  • Foster intergenerational knowledge sharing, community harmony, and belonging.

  • Support First Nations, multicultural, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

  • Encourage volunteering and community connections, especially in growing and high-density areas.

Applications for Category 1 must be submitted directly to the local committee through Canada Bay Council. Refer to the ClubGRANTS Search for information about available funding in your area, application methods and deadlines

Applications for Category 2

Category 2 funding is available year-round for community projects. Applications can be submitted directly to Drummoyne Sailing Club via the ClubGRANTS website. Applicants should provide details about their project, including its purpose, required funding, and anticipated community benefits.

Category 2 - In-Kind Support

Drummoyne Sailing Club also offers in-kind support to eligible community groups. For more information, contact our team at info@dsc.org.au

Category 3

Category 3 is a state-wide fund administered by the NSW Government. For details, contact Liquor and Gaming NSW on 1300 024 720.

2025/26 ClubGRANTS Recipients

Drummoyne Sailing Club is proud to have supported the following organisations through ClubGRANTS in 2025/26, categorised by their respective funding categories:

Category 1 Recipients

  • Early Years Intercultural Association – To provide a supported playgroup program that fosters well being for culturally and linguistically diverse families living in Canada Bay and early childhood development for their children aged from birth to 6 years with a disability, developmental delay, or under supported.

  • Dancing Hearts Services Incorporated – The objective of the Dancing Hearts Adult Zumba Program is to improve physical health, fitness, and wellbeing for adults, particularly older adults, in the City of Canada Bay through Zumba fitness classes. Funding will support delivery of regular Zumba sessions at Concord Senior Citizens Centre, increasing access for local residents, encouraging active lifestyles, supporting social connection, and providing safe, structured exercise for older adults.

  • Mobility Foundation – Support to supply and delivery of a Pelican Pool Hoist at Drummoyne Swimming Centre. This project will improve aquatic accessibility, safety and inclusion for community members living with disabilities and mobility limitations.

  • Royal Life Saving NSW – To equip 125 vulnerable community members in Canada Bay with essential CPR, emergency response, and water safety skills. Funding will support the delivery of five inclusive, interactive workshops, tailored for seniors, carers, and diverse communities, building confidence and capability to respond effectively in emergencies and safely engage in aquatic activities.

  • Rainbow Club – The objective of this project is to ensure children with disability can continue accessing consistent, specialised swimming and water safety programs that improve both safety outcomes and overall quality of life. Many of the children attending Rainbow Club have limited opportunities to participate in mainstream sport and recreation due to physical, behavioural, sensory, or intellectual barriers. Our programs provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can build independence.

Category 2 Recipients

  • The Ella Centre - Continue to run a weekly music therapy session for our participants with a disability and younger onset dementia. Many of our participants do not have the means to pay for these types of out of pocket costs. The grant would assist in covering the cost of the music therapist so we can run weekly sessions for another 12 months

  • St Mark's Catholic Primary School - To purchase a commercial-grade BBQ. A commercial-grade BBQ will provide the consistent heat capacity needed to prepare food safely and efficiently for large numbers of community events. This will improve food safety, reduce waiting times, increase volunteer efficiency. By enabling faster and more reliable food service, the P&F will also be able to maximise fundraising revenue, with proceeds directly supporting student learning, well being initiatives and school community programs.

  • Five Dock Falcons Baseball Club - The objective of the project is to support the continued growth and development of junior baseball within the community by ensuring the sport remains affordable, accessible, and high-quality for local families. The funding will be used directly to support junior participation and club development through: Purchasing playing equipment and training aids Providing junior uniforms and protective gear Reducing participation costs for families

  • Drummoyne Public School - For many decades the P&C of Drummoyne Public School has hosted a special community event - the DPS Community Fete. It is a much-anticipated local annual event that brings together students, families, locals young and old, businesses, neighbours and friends for a day of community volunteering and celebration. The community share in entertainment, local stage events, rides, food, stalls and a day of much fun, engagement, inclusion and happiness for the community.

  • Drummoyne Preschool Kindergarten Incorporated - To provide a safe, modern outdoor learning space. Enhance early development. Promote creative play. Improve facility safety. Use of Funding Funding will cover all physical procurement and construction costs. Purchase durable playhouse. Deliver materials onsite. Install safety surfacing. Complete professional assembly.
