Drummoyne Fishing Club has been a part of the Drummoyne Sailing Club since January 2019.
The club is open to new members and associate members are also welcome. We encourage all age groups and fishing levels from accomplished to beginners. Our club members fish one Sunday per month within Sydney Harbour.
The club has some very talented and experienced anglers both male and female, who are happy to impart their knowledge and always ready to give a helping hand if needed. Most of our club members fish from small boats.
We also see some great results from members fishing from the shore. We encourage all our members to attend weigh in to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with drinks and a BBQ on the BBQ deck at the Drummoyne Sailing Club.
We travel to Shoalhaven Heads for 1 week in Oct/Nov family and friends are invited to join us to fish and socialise. It is always a fantastic week.
The Fishing Club promotes sustainable fishing and has increased the legal size limit to weigh in for competition. Also, as of this year we have introduced the Catch and Release program, which we feel sure will be a great success.
At the end of every year, we have an AGM/Presentation Day, where the Angler of the Year is announced along with trophy presentations and BBQ. A great day is had by all.
The club philosophy is to help each other to enjoy the day’s fishing and to encourage all members to improve their fishing skills and to build friendships. While the club is competitive, it is also about enjoyment and relaxation.
